Prompt: Write about a memory that felt like a turning point in your life.

I was at the airport in Orlando in December of 2021. I was getting dropped off by my boyfriend at the time.

We were both wearing masks.

I was devastated because I was leaving a place that I had called home for the last 5 years. Only because I didn’t get selected in a lottery visa system.

I was heartbroken because I didn’t know when I would see him again.

I didn’t know if I would ever go back to the States.

I had no clue at that time that in 3 months, I would choose to go all in and start my art business in Dubai.
